How do I connect my number?
You link it yourself from the dashboard. It takes three steps.
- Enter your number on the dashboard's WhatsApp page.
- Get an 8-character code.
- Link it on your phone: open Linked devices, choose Link with phone number, and type the code.
What does the AI do on WhatsApp?
Customers start the conversation and the AI replies, in your WhatsApp chats, from your own number.
Replies to customers who message you first
It answers from your knowledge base and from your Offerings list, so prices and availability come from you.
Switch it off per number
Turn the AI off for any linked number from the dashboard whenever you want to take a number back.
Pauses when you type
When you reply from your phone, the AI pauses on that chat for two hours so it does not talk over you.
Reads customers' photos
The AI reads the photo and looks for a listed item that fits, going by your item names and details, not your item photos. When it is not sure, it asks the customer or offers your team.
What happens when a person needs to step in?
The AI passes the chat to a human on your team, and the customer is told who they are talking to.
- A named handover. The customer sees "You're now chatting with" followed by the agent's name.
- A rating after the chat. When your team member resolves the chat, Luran asks the customer to rate it from 1 to 5.
Can I make Luran ignore some contacts?
Yes. Add personal contacts to Contacts Luran ignores and Luran stops answering them once it recognises the number. The list holds up to 5,000 contacts per linked number.

WhatsApp is available on every plan. The pricing page shows each plan's price in naira and how many WhatsApp numbers it includes, and WhatsApp chats count towards your plan's conversations. On WhatsApp, one conversation lasts until the chat is resolved.
